2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the DailyDrop marketing website at https://daily-drop.app and the DailyDrop web app at https://login.daily-drop.app. It explains how we process personal data when you visit our website, create or use an account, generate content, purchase a subscription, or contact us.

3. Website access and server log files

When you visit our website, technical data may be processed automatically in server log files, for example IP address, date and time of access, requested page, browser type, operating system and referrer URL. Processing takes place to provide the website, ensure security and troubleshoot technical issues. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Account and authentication

If you register or log in via Google Sign-In / Google OAuth, we receive the data necessary for authentication and account provision, in particular your email address, name and a provider-specific account ID. We do not receive your Google password. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

5. Use of the web app

When you use DailyDrop, we process the data required to provide the service, for example selected categories, topics, format choices, language selections, saved content, content history and account-related settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

6. Payments and subscriptions

If you purchase DailyDrop Premium, payment and billing data are processed by the payment provider used in the checkout flow. We do not store full payment card details ourselves. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

7. Contact and support

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to our service or a contract; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

8. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

We use only technologies that are technically necessary to provide the website or the app, for example for session management, login state, security and language preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or marketing trackers on this website. If optional analytics or optional third-party services are activated in the future, they will be used only on the basis of an appropriate legal basis and, where required, only after prior consent.

9. Recipients and processors

We may use external service providers acting on our behalf, in particular providers for authentication, database and backend services, hosting, payment processing and technical email delivery. This can include Google (authentication), Supabase (backend/database) and the payment provider used in checkout. These providers process data only insofar as necessary for the respective service.

10. International data transfers

If data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, this will take place only where the legal requirements are met, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. Retention period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by law. Account data and saved content are generally stored for as long as the account exists. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. After deletion of your account, personal data will be deleted unless retention is required for legal reasons.

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

13. Obligation to provide data

You are not legally required to provide personal data. However, certain data is required if you want to create an account, purchase Premium or use specific features.

14. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
